Background

Pikes Point Transfer Station Limited (PPTSL) own and operate the Pikes Point Resource Recovery Facility at 81 Captain Springs Road, Onehunga, in Auckland.

PPTSL is a joint venture limited liability company owned equally by Waste Management NZ Limited (WMNZ) and Enviro NZ Services Limited (Enviro).

Governance

Pikes Point Transfer Station Limited is governed by a board of directors. Both WMNZ and Enviro provide the same number of directors to the board. Each year one of the directors takes on the role of board chairperson.

Pikes Point Transfer Station Limited employs a branch manager to run the daily operation of the Pikes Point Resource Recovery Facility. The branch manager has a range of responsibilities and the delegated authority necessary to ensure the facility operates safely, compliantly, efficiently and successfully.

Regulatory

PPRTS holds all necessary Auckland Council consents required to ensure a regulatory compliant operation. The current operation is fully consented.
